Ok, I never quite understood these “about” pages. They’re usually filled with some sanctimonious, transparent garbage about how great the company is, how the entire staff, from the CEO to the throngs of nameless cubicle zombies, actually cares about whatever the heck it is they’re doing, how they’re as aggressive and relentless as they are compassionate and downright saintly. And no “about” paragraph is complete without the abundant use of intolerable chestnuts as edgy, trendy, hip and other adjectives that make me want to throw a bottle of cheap amaretto at my monitor when I read them. Who believes any of that crap? Honestly, do “Hot Dog on a Stick” employees really think the Purgatory of a food court is a fun and exciting place to build a career? I mean, the lemonade is great, but come on! Tough Cookie Productions just wants to make movies that when people sit down to watch them they don’t feel like they’ve been bilked out of ninety minutes of their life. “Fellowship of the Dice” is our first crack at that goal. It’s the calling card. It’s the knock on the door for all the talented people who worked on it, put their names on it, and want to use it to help build their careers. |
